Welcome to the website for the Welwyn Garden City Adventist Community Church (WGCACC).

We are part of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church within the UK and often refer to ourselves simply as "Welwyn Church" within the SDA community.

We have somewhat of a commuter congregation but everyone is welcome. So, if you're visiting near Hatfield or Welwyn, perhaps a student at University of Herts, or just interested to learn more, please come and join us.

Because we believe strongly in the teachings of the Bible and the examples given by Jesus Christ during his ministry on earth we worship on the 7th Day of the week - Saturday - and please remember our main family worship service starts at 10.00am.

WGCACC is a small community church and we don't yet have a building of our own so we meet in Applecroft Primary School in Welwyn Garden City.

CHURCH CLOSED
SATURDAY 3rd MARCH 2018

Please note that due to adverse weather conditions and travel warnings we have taken the decision to cancel church services this week. We will keep you posted with any updated

Did you know that modern killer diseases are lifestyle related? They are basically diseases of affluence - too much eating and drinking, too much smoking and too little exercise. Medical science is treating the symptoms, but it's time to attack the causes. More and more people are waking up to the fact that they must take charge - take responsibility - for their own health. That's what CHIP is about. How to do it. How to live a quality life, and how to avoid the most common causes of premature disease, disability, suffering and death. If we take advantage of the knowledge we have right now, most of us could live to be 100 years old and be in good health.

Our poster is now being displayed on the new noticeboards at the QE2 hospital. We hope visitors and staff alike will make use of our Prayer, Thank-you and Listen services.

Thought for the week

Mark 14:3-9

3 While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. 4 Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? 5 It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages[a] and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly. 6 “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 7 The poor you will always have with you,[b] and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. 8 She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. 9 Truly I tell you, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

Do you want to learn more about what the Bible has to say about a wide range of topics? Do you want to find out more about God's plans for this world or the life of Jesus?

The Adventist Discovery Centre is dedicated to upholding a belief in God. The thrill of believing in God reaches extraordinary heights when we realise that all the wonders of this scientific age are but discoveries based on the incredible creative genius of God the Master Scientist. But even more incredibly, God the master scientist has elected to become the world's saviour. Through his Son's amazing death on an ancient Roman torture instrument God the master scientist found a way to become the one and only saving God of all time.

The ADC is dedicated to uphold God and his son Jesus Christ through his Spirit, as the answer to all human need even in this advanced scientific world.
